And I know there's no guarantees, but I'm not alone - 12:57 PM

Well Nick and I have moved into our house, and are now owned by the bank. But more of that latter.
Work
I haven't been up to much at work, other that trying to stay motivated. Only had a two day week last week so spent them getting up to date with my paper work. I am going to spend today working on my TNFa paper. And designing a methodology for the rest of the work that I need to do. The other thing that I spend my time doing was comparing peer review journals. Woman's Day and Woman's Weekly. Seeing who had the most concussive breakdown of the Will's Kate relation ship.

Woman's Weekly won as they did a bumper special to cover it. Even including a nice time line of everything that happened. Next week I have lots to do.

Well I moved into my house. And it was the biggest night mare I have ever had at moving. It started off at 10am when I went to get the warranty for the dishwasher which I had sold and the guy was coming to pick it up. I was running down the stairs and missed the hand rail and fell down the next flight of stairs. With my bottom hitting every stair on the way down. I think the picture says it all. It certainly meant I wasn't going to bike to work. The guy coming to move the S800 was 30min late, turning up at 11.30 , good thing the movers came 3 hours early and they arrived at 11am. with the guy picking up the dishwasher arriving at 11.45am (he arrived when he said he would). The movers were crap. But the fact they dropped our TV and broke it (yes it does weight 94kg... but they are movers) and we are sorting out if our contents insurance will cover it. But for the repair place just to look at it cost $250, and we have yet to find out what it will take to repair it. Should hear by the end of the week. They also dropped our bookcase (the big wooden one) and one of my planters (which broke). So 3hours latter the ordeal was over. With just the boxes and that to unpack and the discovery of the TV yet to come. And the old place to clean, which I discovered is 90% likely to be bulldozed for the changes they want to implement on campus. So I don't feel so bad about the half arse job I did on the cleaning. But everything is settled in nicely now along with the house warming present we got ourselves. Two kittens.

Poo Fangs

Who seem to be bundles of trouble. But then I guess all kittens are like that. Now just to make a list of what we want to change because the last person to decorate the place liked pink. Really really liked pink. Still need money for that.

WoW
Woot I got my T4 Malorne gloves and helm. Just a decent chest piece to go and I will be rocking nicely. The raids are good, and the other day when I was farming water with Remmy was a lot of fun.

Being a better person
Well eating isn't so hot as I need to go grocery shopping and have no money. But I now have to walk an hour a day to catch the train and that. So fitness is going to happen. I am going to add a graph of weight loss at some point this week, just to see how moving house has been able to help. I would be doing my yoga video, but no TV. :/
http://www.livingcookbook.com/ - I am going to try the free demo too. Evoke tells that as long as I don't close it , it won't time out. But since life is all about moderation you should try these. Take them to work and share around, make every ones life a little bit nicer, which is all part of being a better person.

Raspberry almond friands

melted butter, for greasing
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
1 cup plain flour
1 cup (100 g) almond meal
1 lemon, rind finely grated
5 egg whites
180 g butter, melted, cooled
150 g fresh or thawed frozen raspberries

Preheat oven to 200C. Brush ten 125 ml (1/2 cup) oval friand pans with the melted butter, and place on a baking tray (Click
here if you don't know what friands look like.) You can use 12 medium (1/3 cup) muffin pans if you don't have friand pans.
Sift the icing sugar and flour together into a large mixing bowl. Stir in the almond meal and lemon rind.
Use a balloon whisk to whisk the egg whites in a medium bowl until frothy. Use a large metal spoon to fold the egg whites into the almond mixture. Add the melted butter and fold in until just combined. Gently fold 100g of the raspberries into the mixture.
Spoon the mixture into the greased pans to come 3/4 of the way up the sides. Divide the remaining raspberries among the friands, pushing them gently into the mixture.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes or until light golden and a skewer inserted into the centre of a friand comes out clean. Set aside for 5 minutes before turning onto a wire rack to cool. Dust with icing sugar, to serve
.

Books and stuff
Still reading the Robin Hobb series and I am now onto the last part on the her trilogy of trilogy's. And am currently reading Fool's Fate. The first book in this trilogy is one of the few books that have made me cry. They are so well written and pull you in. She has learnt her lessons well over time and you can tell. Her first series was good, this last one is excellent.

I am also watching American Gothic the TV series that ran on TV when I was in early high school I am really enjoying watching it again. Shame they only ever made one season.

"The Greatest Trick The Devil Ever Pulled, Was Convincing The World He Didn't Exist."

It has been a week of music I discovered Reindeer Section - which I am throughly enjoying. The lead singer comes from Snow Patrol (which Kelly loves) so durning the week I grabed the albums and had a listen and discovered a love for depressed scots men.

The rest of the week has been getting samples through my TNFa assay and trying to sort out the house.

Went and saw the lawyer on Tuesday at the pub(we won the pub quizz - which was all good. $50 bar tab and a bottle of Old Hanoui) and signed the deeds.

Say the insurance broker and now completly insured.

I packed some more boxes at looked at kitens.

Next post will be more intresting as i will have pictures of the new house.

Work
Started work on my paper on TNFa regulation. Which surprisingly enough is actually helping with the research. Strange that planning actually helps who would have though. Though at the moment I am just churning through samples to make a milestone. I spent a lot of time with Dom this week making sure his experiments were working right.

I haven't been up to much except reading, work and a small bit of wow. And packing, so much packing. And so much more to go.

WoW
Working on leveling my fishing and got my tempest key.

Week O Being a better person
I am still working on developing the right habbits. And so far so good.

Books and Stuff

I went as saw 300, which was good. But was very obivious what Frank Miller wrote and what was added, it was also a shame that the violence was taken out of the movie that the orginal Frank Miller writting had put in. Also was annoying some of the casting. If you are a spartan you don't have a wussy voice, you are a stong manly man. Not some one who will break a nail and cry. Same could be said for a King of 1/4 of the known world at the time. He certainly would not be a drag queen. It was good to see the visualisation that charcterises Frank Miller move from the page to the screen so well. Though I feel Sin City did it better. It is a shame Rodriguez did not dirrect this as well. Actually Tarantino would have been a good choice for 300.

Stranger than Fiction, was actually very good and I completely suggest renting it for a Sunday afternoon. It is well.... hard to describe but this quote I think sums it up.

As Harold took a bite of Bavarian sugar cookie, he finally felt as if everything was going to be ok. Sometimes, when we lose ourselves in fear and despair, in routine and constancy, in hopelessness and tragedy, we can thank God for Bavarian sugar cookies. And, fortunately, when there aren't any cookies, we can still find reassurance in a familiar hand on our skin, or a kind and loving gesture, or subtle encouragement, or a loving embrace, or an offer of comfort, not to mention hospital gurneys and nose plugs, an uneaten Danish, soft-spoken secrets, and Fender Stratocasters, and maybe the occasional piece of fiction. And we must remember that all these things, the nuances, the anomalies, the subtleties, which we assume only accessorize our days, are effective for a much larger and nobler cause. They are here to save our lives. I know the idea seems strange, but I also know that it just so happens to be true. And, so it was, a wristwatch saved Harold Crick.

Summary

Not much has happened. Though Nick's mother found out yesterday we had brought a house. Yes that is right 1 1/2 weeks before we move into it, we told her. Even now she has no idea what it is like and she only found out by a slip of the tounge. I thought it was funny. I guess that makes me a bad person.

While we applaud the weirdness of the world, we have to differentiate between healthy weird and unhealthy weird. When personality traits start adversely affecting your life - in your daily activities and the way you interact with people - that's when you have a problem.

I had this on my daily calander - my question is how do I tell the diffrence?
