What kind of drugs do you use? - 9:46 PM

I know I am and addict, and really there are way worse things to be addicted too. So Hello, I am OY636; and I am addicted to World of Warcraft. I play a level 60 druid called Yasmin. (I have a few other characters but that is the one I play the most) And I raid.

World of Warcraft is damn social in is the biggest game of it's type in America (Lineage 2 is bigger but mainly played in Korea). Even South Park have had a go at World of Warcraft.

The part that most people who don't play the game get, is the social side. Since you need a lot of people (well 40, and extras as 40 people can't turn up all the time) to kill something in the game you have guilds. And guilds are like high school with no consequence; thus there is a lot of laughs and a lot of bitching. I sometimes think people get more upset that they didn't get some loot they wanted than if their wife had run off with their best friend. The one of the joys of playing a druid is 1. Not many people play it. 2. No one wants leather with intel and strength bar druids. So in my guild the druid group is pretty good, Remmy because every one appreciates a pro mage.

Since I am talking about World of Warcraft I need to mention my UI.

Healing is a fun job... Thus the cards. But what I do use is

Cast Party is the best mod ever, and every patch I fear it will get broken. Not much more I can say, but looking forward to the expansion.

Yasmin looking her best in a stunning outfit of Red's, Cream's and Black's or her Fire Resist Gear (left)

And for more particle times in a stunning use of cloths and leather, with everyday wear mace currently called Cat Ensemble(right)

Art.

Working on a castle at the moment. Will post pics when it is done

The story so far - 6:50 PM

At the end of August/start of Sept I spent a week in Queenstown at a conference on Molecular Biology. Which I would completely suggest attending if you are in that field. But I also spent the weekend down there with my man - Nick. We did all the Queenstown things like jet boating and stuff. But we both went to Cornett Peak for a day of fun in the snow. Now I grew up in Dunedin and had had my fair share of snow, and trust me chill blains are not nice, well they are ok until the dead skin starts falling off and the new skin underneath is really itchy. So the idea of spending a day in the stuff I moved north to get away from didn't sound that appealing. Where as Nick grew up in Auckland and wasn't sure that this snow stuff you saw on the telly was real, and well it looked fun and nice and fluffy. But we went and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, and it was worse that nick thought it would be. The view from the top of the expert area was well worth it. I am not sure I would want to ski again, but he has a year to talk me around as work will be sending me back there next year. Nick will come for the whole week next time, I think. So I get to go to seminars on molecular biology - he gets to go snow boarding. Sounds like a perfect holiday.
The other thing happening at the moment is the decision to change the Auckland Ceramic show to a two yearly event rather than yearly. Which means the project I had been working on for the last 7mths won't be able to be entered until next year. This was a major piece of work with something like 9 coats of paint, and 3 glazes, and we
ll I am a little bit disappointed - but well that is life and all that, though it does mean that it will be able to go in my spring bulb garden this season. The picture doesn't really show up all the different colours in it very well - but you get the idea. The centre piece comes up to just under my knee (when I am not wearing shoes, mid shin when I am wearing shoes)
